Umbria Region, among other powers and functions conferred to by the Italian Constitution, has autonomous legislative power in the field of vocational training and concurrent legislative power with the State in the field of employment and education policies.
In particular, one of the main tasks of the Region is planning, selection, monitoring and evaluation of all the interventions financed by the ESI Funds.
Regarding the interventions financed by ESF and, generally, employment, lifelong learning and social inclusion policies, the Region is responsible for defining and managing the main devices to assure quality, accessibility and relevance of the offer. In particular: the Accreditation of VET providers; the Accreditation of private providers of guidance and employment services; the regulation of the services for identification, validation and certification of competences acquired in formal and non formal contexts.
